Lyrics

Whisky mutes the element that heats a haunted brain, spelt flour and wheat, it rises all the same. I love you but this love is killing me again and I’d hate to hear it ended this way.

We were Tolkien, we were Lewis, we were half chewed by our brains, eating ego, in some window, as all the windows flooded with rain.

And I suppose dear, we are lost lands, living land locked by this rain, you can wait until the tide has turned but you will never reach home again.

And as Pompeii it was flooded, it was left statuesque and plain, stuck to fucking, stuck to selling, land for locked doors once again.

And the snag toothed wise are ageing, and we’d hate to know their game, we’re inside of ourselves like cannibals, just eating leather shoes and grain.

And I suppose dear, we are lost lands, just living land locked by this rain, you can wade until the tide has turned but you will never see home again.
